Four season radials, kinda newly installed. Smog and heat? Yeah, my fave combo.

It keeps on going. Since back when Charlotte first began doing OAS. In fact, Consumer Reports rates the 3.5 L V6 as being the longest lasting engine in its class, usually good for a quarter millions miles. Take me to the Moon.

Snow tyres or winter tyres really need to start catching on more in the UK - we've got another dump of snow today and the place has ground to a halt again. Coupled with the fact that I have one of the worst front wheel drive cars for snowy conditions (literally worse that a lot of rear wheel drive vehicles) I'm going no where today. Sat waiting patiently for my custom set to drop....

I was thinking more like snow chains so you don't have to buy/change tyres .

^ Guys - For decades, high quality 4 season radials are more than sufficient for even blizzard conditions which I know well. Snow tires are strictly for the worst conditions and in locations with steep grades such as the far north esp. in mountain regions like the Rockies. There, folks use snow tires, and chains, for a couple of months, then return to 4 seaons radials for late winter. Chains ruin the highways and thus aren't allowed in many places or outside of a specified period. Snow tires are a racket pushed by the manufactuers and receptive states that recognize the benefit of tire regulations for making money from fines. Snow tires are a significant expense to vehicle owners. Besides their higher cost, you need a second set of rims and must pay twice a year to have the snow tires + rims installed and removed, or do the back breaking labor of putting them on and off yourself. In winter that's even a more miserable chore than changing a flat tire in, say, pleasant summer conditions. And you car labors harder, costing you more, to push rough snow tires around on pavement.
